Scholarships

At Bacchus Marsh Grammar, we wish to promote the notion of a holistic education.  Our school seeks students with the skills that are vital for success in the modern world. We offer scholarships to support students who demonstrate the potential to contribute meaningfully to our school community.

Scholarship Program 2027

Year 7 Scholarships 

  • van den Hende Family Scholarship (1 award)
    • Covers 100% tuition fees for six years
    • Open exclusively to current Grade 6 students at Bacchus Marsh Grammar in 2026
  • John Leaver Academic Scholarships (3 awards)
    • Covers 100% tuition fees for six years
    • Open to current Bacchus Marsh Grammar students and external Year 6 students in 2026
  • Partial Scholarships (Principal’s discretion)
    • Available with tuition reductions of 25% or 50%

Year 9 Scholarships 

  • van den Hende Family Scholarships (2 awards)
    • Covers 100% tuition fees
    • One award for a current Year 8 Bacchus Marsh Grammar student (2026)
    • One award for an external Year 8 student (2026)
  • Peng Hong Wong Scholarship (1 award)
    • Covers 100% tuition fees for four years
    • Available only to current or enrolled Year 9 students at the Woodlea Campus in 2027
  • Partial Scholarships (Principal’s discretion)
    • Available with tuition reductions of 25% or 50%

Access Scholarship Programs  

  • Callow Access Scholarship
    • Open to current and new students, Years 7–12
    • The Callow Scholarship supports students who might otherwise be unable to attend Bacchus Marsh Grammar. To qualify, parents or students must hold a current Health Care Card and provide a copy upon application.  Annual eligibility checks will be required each year.
    • This scholarship covers 100% tuition fees plus allowances for uniform, booklist, and transport.
  •  Norman Access Scholarship
    • Open to current and new students, Years 7–12
    • Similar to the Callow Scholarship, the Norman Scholarship is available to eligible Health Care Card holders.
    • Covers 100% tuition fees along with uniform, booklist and transport allowances.

Indigenous Scholarship

  • Indigenous Scholarship Program
    • Open to current and new students, Years 7–12
    • Applicants must provide a Confirmation of Aboriginality document to apply.
    • This scholarship covers 100% tuition fees, plus uniform, booklist, and transport allowances.

Key Information

Scholarship Testing  for Year 7 2027, Year 9 2027, The Callow, The Norman and Indigenous Scholarships will be held on Saturday 28 February 2026 at Bacchus Marsh Grammar – Maddingley Campus, South Maddingley Road, Bacchus Marsh.

Further details about Scholarship testing will be sent to registered candidates prior to the testing day.

Closing Date:  Friday, 13 February 2026

Cost:  $100

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to arrange an interview with the Principal and be asked to complete a Personal Profile with set questions prior to the interview.

Unsuccessful applicants will be contacted by mail.

Scholarship holders are expected to remain at Bacchus Marsh Grammar for the duration of their education up to, and including Year 12.
