Transport & Bus Network
A School that Serves Western and North-Western Melbourne
The locations of our campuses make Bacchus Marsh Grammar an accessible choice for families across Melbourne’s west and north-west. To support this broad reach, we operate an extensive school bus network that services key areas including Hume, Wyndham, Macedon, Moorabool, Hobsons Bay, Brimbank and up to metropolitan Melbourne.
Our transport network ensures students enjoy a reliable and convenient journey to and from school, helping families across these diverse and growing communities access the educational opportunities offered at Bacchus Marsh Grammar.
V/Line rail access is a major benefit for families travelling to our campuses. The Maddingley Campus is located directly beside Bacchus Marsh Station on the Ballarat Line, providing students with convenient and reliable train travel. For families using Rockbank Station, our Woodlea Campus is just minutes away, supported by a dedicated private shuttle bus service that transports students safely between the station and the school.
This combination of direct rail connections and school-operated transport makes Bacchus Marsh Grammar one of the most accessible schools in Melbourne’s west and north-west.
We have an extensive bus network servicing Ballan, Greendale, Bacchus Marsh, Melton, Eynesbury, Balliang, Bullengarook, Hopetoun Park, Werribee, Hoppers Crossing, Point Cook, Caroline Springs, Taylors Hill, Watergardens, Sunbury and Gisborne.
Senior students who use these services are charged with ensuring that the journey is a pleasant one for all students. They take this duty very seriously as it forms part of the responsibilities determined by the schools peer support program. To further assist our youngest bus commuters, a Junior School Teacher Aides collect Prep and Year 1 students at the end of their school day to ensure they are on their bus before the Senior School dismissal bell at 3.15pm. In Term 4, Year 1 students independently make their way to the bus turnaround. For further information on how the bus network is managed, please contact the School Bus Services Administrator on 03 5366 4800.
Public bus services operate across the outer western part of Melbourne and surrounding rural areas including Melton, Toolern Vale, Long Forest, Hopetoun Park, Exford, Eynesbury, Blackwood, Ballan, Merrimu, Glenmore and Balliang.
