Read and understand Bacchus Marsh Grammar’s Enrolment Policy and Privacy Policy.
Have a digital copy of your child’s Birth Certificate AND copy of Australian Citizenship, Australian Passport or Visa ready for uploading.
Step 2: Apply
Complete our online application form and pay the $150 non-refundable application fee.
Please note that completing an application form does not guarantee your child a position or an interview for a position.
Step 3: Assigned to Waitlist
Your application will be assigned to a waitlist according to your campus preference and aligning with our Enrolment Policy.
You will receive an acknowledgement that we received your application.
Your child will remain on the waitlist until a position becomes available. Given our high student retention rates, opportunities for placement usually occur only when a current student withdraws.
Step 4: Next Steps
If a potential position becomes available, the Admissions Team will be in touch to guide you through the next steps of the enrolment process. At this point, you may be asked to provide recent documentation such as school reports and NAPLAN results to support your application.
Step 5: Offer to Interview
You may be invited to attend an interview. It is mandatory for the child to attend the interview with at least one parent/guardian.
Step 6: Offer of Enrolment position
If your application is accepted, you will receive a Letter of Offer with an Acceptance of Position form and an Enrolment Agreement.
Step 7: Accept offer and Confirm Enrolment
Once you have returned all required documentation to the Admissions department and paid your confirmation of enrolment fee, your child’s position of enrolment will be confirmed.
Note: Please do not submit more than one application for your child. Ensure you provide us with any updates to your contact information to avoid any delay in next steps.
Selection Process
Bacchus Marsh Grammar is a selective school, receiving more applications than available places and with lengthy waitlists. Some of the factors in determining offers include:
- Date of Application
- Siblings currently enrolled
- Academic performance
- Behaviour and attitude
- Alignment with the School’s values and expectations
Please refer to the Enrolment Policy for Bacchus Marsh Grammar’s Discretion to Accept.
Due to high demand and limited availability, securing a position can be competitive, and students may need to remain on the waiting list for several years. We encourage early applications and exploration of alternative options.
International Students
International Students (including those who currently hold a Visa Subclass 500 or 600) cannot be considered for enrolment at Bacchus Marsh Grammar.

Commonly Asked Questions
How long am I likely to be on the waitlist?
Bacchus Marsh Grammar maintains a waitlist due to strong demand for enrolments and a high student retention rate. Placement opportunities typically arise only when a currently enrolled family leaves the school. When such a vacancy occurs, our Admissions Team contacts families on the waitlist to discuss the next steps in the enrolment process.
Priority for available places is given first to siblings of current students who are already on the waitlist, followed by applicants in order of the date the application was submitted.
Due to the high retention rate and the limited number of vacancies, it is not possible to predict how long an applicant may remain on the waitlist.
Can I be on the waitlist for both campuses?
No, families are required to nominate their preferred campus when submitting an application. Your child will be considered for placement at that campus first and foremost. The alternative campus will be recorded as your second preference and may be considered if an opportunity arises and your preferred campus is at capacity.
When can I apply?
The main entry points at Bacchus Marsh Grammar are Prep and Year 7, with limited additional entry points in Year 9, Year 10, and Year 11. While vacancies may occasionally occur at other year levels, all applications remain active and roll over each year until a suitable place becomes available.
Families will be contacted by our Admissions Team if a vacancy arises that matches their application. The timing of our intake processes is as follows:
Year 7: Intake process commences in Term 1 of the year prior to commencement
Prep: Intake process commences in Term 2 of the year prior to commencement
Senior School: Intake process commences in Term 3 of the year prior to commencement
When will I be contacted?
Online applications can be submitted at any time. Please note that the date an application is received is taken into account when allocating places.
Closing dates for key entry points will be published on our website, and we encourage families to submit applications as early as possible to be considered.
