Team Vic Cricket Selection

Jiya D 5A received provisional selection in the Team Vic 12 Years and Under Girls Cricket Team for 2026. Jiya will have the opportunity to represent Victoria at the School Sport Australia Championships to be held in Newcastle, New South Wales, from 24 to 30 October 2026.

Selection for Team Vic is highly competitive, with talented players from across Victoria participating in the trial process. Being chosen for the state team is a significant achievement and reflects Jiya’s dedication, hard work, and cricketing ability.

The Team Vic program includes training sessions, practice matches, and team activities leading up to the national championships, where Victoria will compete against teams from across Australia.

Hip Hop International

Summer A (Year 12K) recently travelled to Phoenix, Arizona in the United States to compete on the world stage with her Hip Hop Mega Crew from Dance Nation Academy (DNA).

After winning at both state and national level, the crew qualified for the Hip Hop International World Championships, where they competed against some of the best dancers from around the globe. DNA entered the competition ranked third in the world in their division.

More than 55 countries and 3,300 athletes participated in the event which included opening and closing ceremonies and is regarded as one of the premier international competitions for elite hip hop dance. The standard of competition was incredibly high, with DNA narrowly missing a place in the semi-finals by just 0.01 points.

The crew spent their time in Arizona training and competing in extreme conditions, with temperatures reaching approximately 48°C. The opportunity to perform, train and compete in a world-class environment was an invaluable, once-in-a-lifetime experience for Summer.

Summer has been dancing for many years and completed two years in the BMG Elite Sports Program. She also accelerated her studies in Dance, completing Year 12 Dance while undertaking her Year 11 studies.
