Woodlea
Middle School Leadership Evening
On Monday 17 March at the inaugural Student Leadership Evening, the Woodlea Middle School Leaders were recognised for their leadership commitment. The evening was a culmination of work that they had participated in throughout Term 1. This program involved Student Leaders attending sessions to develop their portfolios and work upon their skills in public speaking. Students developed their understanding of the concept of service leadership – the preferred leadership philosophy at Bacchus Marsh Grammar.
Mrs Debra Ogston addressed the Student Leaders, reminding them that their leadership journey starts with their willingness to lead by example, to care deeply and to act with purpose and passion. Each leader was invited to present a short speech about what service leadership means to them and the actions they will take in 2025 as Middle School Leaders. Students received their leadership certificates and badges from Mrs Ogston and special guest leadership coach, Mr Darren Pereira.
Congratulations to all students on their preparation and their conduct on the evening. We look forward to watching our Middle School Leaders lead with ambition, kindness and confidence.
