This opportunity is available to students from Years 8 to 12 at both Maddingley and Woodlea campuses.

Travel with the BMG Explorers Club and World Challenge to Nepal. Begin the journey in Kathmandu before heading to the Annapurna region for the breathtaking Poon Hill Trek. Surrounded by snow-capped giants like Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, students will experience stunning Himalayan sunrises and vibrant mountain villages.

The Nepal Expedition isn’t just backed by World Challenge’s global expertise, it’s also guided by our own highly experienced school staff, including Mr Perks, who has a long-standing passion for outdoor education and student development.

Meet Mr Perks

As the leader of the expedition, Mr Perks brings extensive personal experience in trekking across a wide range of conditions, including alpine regions, multi-day bushwalks and challenging terrain both in Australia and internationally. He has led previous school expeditions, including the 2018 Kokoda Trek, the 2015 Thailand Trek and more recently, the 2024 3 Capes Adventure in Tasmania, and is known for his calm leadership, detailed planning and commitment to student safety and growth.
