As Term 3 draws to a close, I would like to thank our students, staff and families for their contribution to what has once again been a very busy and productive term across Bacchus Marsh Grammar.
One of the highlights for me in recent weeks was attending BMG in Concert. It was a wonderful evening and an impressive display of the musical talent that exists within our student body. The confidence, skill and enthusiasm demonstrated by our students was outstanding and reflected the many hours of preparation that occur behind the scenes. I congratulate all students who performed and thank our Music staff and the many others who contributed to making the evening such a success.
As we look ahead to Term 4, I also wish to draw the attention of Maddingley Campus families to an important change to traffic conditions in the area. From Monday 21 September, vehicles will no longer be permitted to turn right at the bottom of South Maddingley Road onto Parwan Road. This is a permanent change and will therefore be in place when students return for Term 4.
It is hoped that this change will improve the flow of traffic around the Maddingley Campus, particularly during the busy morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up periods. As with any change to local traffic conditions, however, there may be a period of adjustment. I encourage families to familiarise themselves with the changed conditions and to allow some additional travel time during the first weeks of Term 4.
Finally, I hope all members of our School community enjoy a well-earned break. Term 3 has provided many opportunities for our students to learn, perform, compete and contribute to School life, and I thank our staff for the considerable work that makes these opportunities possible.
I wish all students, staff and families a safe and enjoyable holiday period and look forward to welcoming everyone back for the commencement of Term 4.
