Primary Teacher Opportunities 2027

Tenure: Full Time

Bacchus Marsh Grammar invites expressions of interest from passionate and dedicated educators to join our vibrant teaching community. This role provides an exciting opportunity to teach within the Junior School. This expression of interest is for positions at either our Maddingley or Woodlea Campus, commencing in Term 1, 2027.

About the Role

Successful applicants will work collaboratively with leadership, teaching teams, and families to deliver engaging, differentiated learning programs that foster student growth, wellbeing, and academic achievement.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging and structured learning experiences;
  • Create inclusive, supportive, and calm classroom environments;
  • Use assessment data to inform and refine teaching practice;
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on student progress and achievement;
  • Maintain strong learning outcomes through rigorous assessment, feedback, and continuous improvement practices;
  • Support student wellbeing, pastoral care, and positive relationships;
  • Participate actively in enrichment (co-curricular) programs and school events.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven teaching capability and curriculum knowledge;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to teamwork;
  • Effective classroom management skills;
  • Commitment to professional growth and reflective practice;
  • Alignment with the School’s values, with the capacity to model virtuous behaviour and actively contribute to and enrich the School culture.

Requirements

  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration;
  • Relevant teaching qualifications;
  • Commitment to child safety and wellbeing.

Desirable:

  • A first aid certificate;
  • Valid driver’s licence.

Salary ranges between $87,707 to $131,515 per annum plus superannuation, depending on the successful applicant’s skills, qualifications, and years of teaching experience, as per the Bacchus Marsh Grammar Enterprise Agreement 2022.
