Grounds and Maintenance Officer
Tenure: Full Time
Bacchus Marsh Grammar is seeking a motivated and reliable Grounds and Maintenance Officer to join our Grounds and Maintenance team in a permanent full-time capacity. The successful candidate will be based at our Woodlea Campus, located in Aintree (Rockbank).

About the Role
The Grounds and Maintenance Officer plays an integral role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the School by ensuring our buildings, grounds, gardens, plant and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
Working collaboratively within the Grounds and Maintenance team, you will contribute to the presentation, safety and continuous improvement of the School’s facilities while supporting a positive environment for staff, students and the wider school community.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Experience in groundskeeping, gardening or general maintenance
- Ability to safely operate a broad range of equipment and tools
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks
- A proactive, team-oriented approach and strong work ethic
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining safe work practices and high standards
Benefits of Working at Bacchus Marsh Grammar
- Regular hours: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (37.5 hours for full time), Monday to Friday.
- Reduced hours during school holiday periods (9:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday).
- 4 Weeks annual leave + additional leave during office closures (x1 week during Term 2 School Holidays).
- Access to the Christmas shutdown/school closure of which all employees are granted leave over this period without deducted from their annual leave entitlements. This occurs from the Friday falling before the 21st of December of each year until the Monday following New Years day unless that Monday is a public holiday in which case the School will remain closed until the next working day.
- 5 weeks annual leave loading.
- Mid-term breaks (one day each term is allocated by the School at the Principals discretion at which all Employees will be entitled to paid leave on this day).

- National Criminal History Check
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
