  • Gatehouse Car Park 
  • Lower Maddingley Feilds Staff Car Park

Parking along South Maddingley Road is not Permitted and there will be no access through Main Reception.

4:30 pm – Paramedicine

Speaker: Taran Kumar

You might recognise Taran as ‘Taz’ on the TV show ‘Paramedics’. Taran will cover what life as a paramedic entails and what attributes, skills and qualities you would need in this profession. This includes the selection process for Ambulance Victoria and information about their internship program.

5.00 pm – Collarts 

Speaker: Joshua Chiong

Creativity is not a number! Whether you want to work in music, design, photography, fashion, film and TV, entertainment, or event management or are still figuring out your future, your career in creativity starts here. The seminar will focus on admission requirements, student opportunities and industry partners.

5:30 pm – Unravelling the final years of schooling

Speakers: Alice Wu-Tollis and Tania O’Brien (BMG Staff)

This seminar is targeted for parents and students who would like to know more about the final years of secondary education, what the ATAR is and how it is derived and what is the difference between VTAC and VCAA.

6:00 pm – La Trobe University Aspire

Speaker: Livio Sikaro

This seminar will cover the range of courses at La Trobe University and the three entry programs for the Aspire Early entry program- Community, Academic and Everyday. Students who have completed or completing Duke of Edinburgh award, this one is for you.

6:30 pm – ACU Parent Information

Speaker: Kate Roberts

Your Path to ACU: Courses, Entry and Support Discover how Australian Catholic University (ACU) can support your study journey, with an overview of our courses, entry pathways, early offers, fees, scholarships, and key dates. This session will also provide practical guidance on subject selection, preparing for university life, and the support available to help you succeed.

4:30 pm – Developing independent study skills

Speaker: Mehtab Dosanjh (BMG Alumni)

Following on from 2025’s successful seminars on study skills, this seminar will explore and describe efficient strategies to become an independent learner.

5.00 pm – Victoria Police 

Speaker: Joanne Mutsaerts

Come along and hear from local police how to apply to Victoria Police as a school leaver and what to expect as you start your journey. There will be ample opportunity to answer your questions and provide a variety of pamphlets on all career opportunities that are on offer with a career with Victoria Police.

5:30 pm – Business Founders

Speakers: Matt Cain and Jack Eeles (BMG Alumni)

Matthew Cain is an Alumni who has successfully formed his own Plumbing business. This seminar will cover his experiences as an apprentice, work stories and what exciting venture he has coming up.

Jack’s seminar will cover his post Year 12 experiences at an USA college where he applied through NCAA. Jack is also a small business owner, and he is currently in the Australia Defence Force and is currently studying Education to become a teacher.

6:00 pm – RMIT University 

Speaker: Kevin Trinh

Studying at RMIT, this session will cover the vast number of courses on offer in the City, Bundoora and Brunswick campuses. An RMIT qualification gives you the skills and knowledge to make you employable anywhere in the world. We offer an education that equips you for success through practical training, global study opportunities and innovative courses delivered by experts at the top of their fields.

6:30 pm – Medicine (4th Year Student Experience)

Speaker: Mehtab Dosanjh (BMG Alumni)

Mehtab will be discussing his life as a medical student over the last few years, starting with how he received the offer using his ATAR, UCAT and MMI. Details and accounts of what is involved in his studies and placements including his next step of an Honours year.
