Nine News Western Victoria attended the School on 28 November to highlight the success of the Bacchus Marsh Grammar Elite Sports Program and athletes who hold scholarships jointly with BMG and FedUni WestVic Academy of Sport.
Representing Channel 9 were Reporter Joseph Ogilvie and Camera Operator Adam Bath who met with our athletes Ronan Keleher 10G, Elizabeth Nuspan 11G and Graeme Frislie 11C.
Discussion centered not only around their amazing National and International results but also around the support services and training provided to them by the program. These include nutrition, sport psychology, strength and conditioning and academic support within their daily school timetable.
Athletes achievements include;
Ronan Keleher – National Representative 15-17 yr. boys 51-55kg class. National Gold Medalist, Oceania and World Championship selected athlete. He will travel to the USA next year to the USA Open.
Elizabeth Nuspan – State Representative and Gold Medalist at the recent Oceania Track Cycling Championships in Adelaide.
Graeme Frislie – VIS Scholarship Holder, National Team Member and multiple Gold Medalist at both the National and Oceania Track Cycling Championships.
