Next Gen 2026
We are proud to share the exciting news that three of our students, Emily Marchington, Anna Seymour and Tilly Woods will be exhibiting as part of Ballarat Art Gallery’s Next Gen 2026 exhibition.
Next Gen is a prestigious annual exhibition that showcases outstanding contemporary artworks and designs by young artists studying in schools across the Ballarat and South-Western region. Being selected for this exhibition is a significant achievement, reflecting both creative excellence and a strong commitment to artmaking and design.
This exhibition provides students with the opportunity to exhibit their work in a professional gallery setting alongside other emerging artists. This experience also offers invaluable insight into curatorial processes and the realities of exhibiting in a public institution.
Families, friends and members of the wider school community are warmly encouraged to visit the exhibition and help celebrate the success of Emily, Anna and Tilly.

Prep Reception at Maddingley
Prep Reception students enjoyed a very special start to their learning journey on their first day, proudly meeting their class mascot, Bacchus the horse. With big smiles and plenty of excitement, our newest learners were welcomed into the school community as they posed for photos, shared laughs and began forming friendships that will grow throughout the year.
