R U OK? Day at Bacchus Marsh Grammar
On Thursday 11 September, students across both campuses came together during Tutor Group time to take part in R U OK? Day activities. The focus of the day was on encouraging students to recognise when they might need support and to understand how to seek help.
At Woodlea, Year 11 students visited the Year 6 cohort to lead an engaging game of “emotions charades.” Through the activity, students explored how different emotions can present physically and discussed practical strategies for managing feelings when things don’t feel okay. The Year 11s also stepped into leadership roles, showing the Year 6s that they are approachable mentors, while also reminding them of the many trusted adults and peers they can turn to when in need.
Across both campuses, activities encouraged students to connect, share, and support one another. These experiences not only promote positive wellbeing but also help to strengthen bonds between year levels, creating a culture where looking out for one another is part of everyday school life.
