Bacchus Marsh Grammar School was founded in 1988 as a co-educational school serving the communities of surrounding districts.
The beginnings of the school in Hallett’s Way were difficult and relied on the enormous efforts and faith of a few pioneer families. Equally, the decision in 1991 to move the school to its current site in South Maddingley Road, required considerable foresight and many hours of hard work. The early years of the school were difficult ones and low levels of Government funding meant that the school often led something of a hand to mouth existence. It still, however, provided an excellent and caring educational environment. In speaking with past students from this period, there is an enormous respect for the quality of attention and care that was provided for all students. |
