Tour of Hope
Bacchus Marsh Grammar was proud to host the inspiring Tour of Hope on 13 May at both campuses, welcoming a team of elite footballers and role models who delivered an unforgettable experience of learning, inspiration and sport. Attended by Tour of Hope ambassadors – Brazilian footballers: Mineiro, Fabio, Kelly, Marcinho, Silas and Xandao.
The day began with a warm welcome and introduction, setting the tone for what would be a powerful experience. Students were introduced to the Tour of Hope ambassadors, former professional footballers who have competed on the world stage and are now committed to giving back through their message of hope, resilience and determination.
In the Q&A session, students had the rare opportunity to ask the ambassadors questions about their professional journeys, the importance of perseverance, and their personal experiences in overcoming adversity both on and off the field. Their stories offered valuable life lessons and reinforced the power of hard work and a positive mindset.
Next, students laced up their boots and took to the field for a soccer skills workshop, where they practised ball control, passing, and teamwork. Guided by the ambassadors, the workshop was not just about improving technique, but also about building confidence and camaraderie.
The energy stayed high as students took part in a mini-match, playing small-sided games that allowed them to showcase their skills in a friendly, supportive environment. Laughter, encouragement and team spirit were on full display as students embraced the joy of the game.
The Tour of Hope was more than just a sports clinic, it was a celebration of character, ambition and resilience. We are so grateful to the Tour of Hope team, Coach Mineiro and Beram Kumar from Aintree Soccer Club for making this day possible. It was a day our students will not soon forget.

Year 3-6 Cross Country Carnival
On Monday 29 April, our Years 3 to 6 students at Woodlea took part in the annual Cross Country event at Staughton Vale. Despite the chilly weather, we were fortunate that the rain held off, allowing us to enjoy a fantastic day outdoors.
Students demonstrated incredible House spirit throughout the day, cheering one another on and giving their best effort in every race. It was wonderful to see everyone embracing the challenge, staying active, enjoying the fresh air while being surrounded by nature.
The day was not only about running, it was about building memories, encouraging one another and celebrating the joy of being together as a school community. We’re so proud of all our students for their enthusiasm, resilience and sportsmanship.
