7 AMY O’HARA - BASKETBALL In July 2019, Amy was selected for the Under 16 Victoria Metro State team that travelled to Darwin to play in the National under Age Basketball Championships. Amy’s team progressed through the tournament undefeated, taking out the gold medal in the final. After this fantastic result, Amy was one of 18 girls from across Australia invited to attend the Basketball Australia Development Camp (ADC) in Canberra at the AIS for 4 days and recently Amy has been selected for a scholarship to be part of the 2019/20 Victorian National Pathway Program (VNPP). ELIZABETH NUSPAN - CYCLING At the beginning of the season, Elizabeth competed in the 2019 Oceania Track Cycling Championships in Adelaide in the Under 19 Women’s category where she raced to a Silver medal in the Kierin and a Gold medal and Oceania Championship jersey in the Scratch Race. Later, Elizabeth raced in Ballarat for the 2019 Australian Road Cycling Championships, where she won the Australian jersey for the Fixed Criterium in the Open Women category and a Silver medal in the Road Criterium in the Under 19 Women’s category. A few months later, Elizabeth flew to Queensland to represent Victoria at the 2019 Australian Track Cycling Championships, where she raced to a Silver medal in the Under 19 Women’s Scratch Race, Teams Pursuit and a Bronze medal in the Madison. She has continued cycling alongside her Year 12 VCE studies, and has signed with the Pedla x N2SH cycling team for the 2020 road cycling season.
