Position

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Junior School Music Teacher to join our Performing Arts and Music Faculty.

As a Prep to Year 4 Music Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and contributing to the development of a comprehensive music education program for students in the early years of schooling. This position involves teaching students in a classroom setting.

Your role will involve teaching fundamental music concepts, fostering a love for music, and facilitating musical exploration and creativity in young learners. The successful candidate will also be required to contribute to the co-curricular life of the school.

Position is full time ongoing, located at the Woodlea Campus, in Aintree (Rockbank).  

Salary ranges between $81,846 to $122,727 per annum plus superannuation, depending on the successful applicant’s skills, qualifications and years of teaching experience, as per the Bacchus Marsh Grammar Enterprise Agreement 2022. 

Key Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will have:

  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance or related field.
  • Appropriate Teaching qualifications.
  • Proven experience teaching music to primary school students (in a classroom setting)
  • Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments and conducting vocal groups.
  • Knowledge of music theory, pedagogy, and curriculum development for young learners.
  • Strong classroom management and instructional skills with a focus on student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that nurtures students’ creativity and musical talents.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from dedicated Mathematics Teachers to join our Mathematics Faculty. This is a full time, ongoing position. We are seeking expressions of interest for both our Maddingley and Woodlea Campuses. Salary ranges between $81,846 to $122,727 per annum plus superannuation, depending on the successful applicants’ skills, qualifications and years of teaching experience, as per the Bacchus Marsh Grammar School Enterprise Agreement 2022.

Commencement dates are negotiable for 2024, or the commencement of the 2025 school year (Term 1).

Key Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will have:

  • Appropriate teaching qualifications, with the ability to become registered in Victoria as a Teacher;
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Mathematics Teacher;
  • Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or Australian interstate equivalent;
  • First Aid Certificate; and
  • Valid driver’s license.
