Bacchus Marsh Grammar believes that homework is a valuable tool with which to reinforce classroom learning and to provide for independent learning. Homework encourages the development of students’ self discipline and organizational skills. The school’s expectation is that students complete homework prior to their next scheduled class. Homework may be the completion of class work, exercises that reinforce or develop classroom learning, progressive work on assessable tasks, preparation of tests or examinations and other activities that enhance the teaching and learning processes. It is expected that teachers evaluate students’ knowledge, understanding and skills inherent in homework activities in appropriate assessable tasks, tests or examinations etc.
